We’re excited to be growing again! This year, 22 of our 23 plots are occupied by returning gardeners and we are grateful to have such a wonderful group of people dedicated to organic, locally grown produce. We are happy to welcome two new gardeners to the 23rd plot who have been waiting patiently on the wait list for several years.
In addition to the 23 individual plots, Seed, Weed and Feed is fully planted and has been delivering lettuce and Chard to the Community Dining Room. While the cool weather and rain resulted in a slow start for the summer crops it’s nice to see them starting to take off now that we have had some sunshine. We would like to thank the incredible volunteers who have helped to prepare, plant, maintain and harvest food for our neighbors in need.
Our first fundraiser of the year was a great success and we are looking forward to the next sale on August 17th on the Branford Green. Tomatoes, peppers and all your other favorite summer time crops will be offered for sale in addition to beautiful flower arrangements and home made baked goods. Check our Facebook page for details closer to the date!
THANK YOU to Vaiuso Farms for starting and caring for the seedlings we sell in our May fundraiser!
